Caught a glimpse of the new loci.... for 2012

So - here is the view out the window of the new lab......

this could be bad for my wallet.....

For those of you NOT from Chicago -this is the Water Tower View
dry wall is up....  not quite as many outlets as expected.....
I love the fact that I will always have a picture of what things looked like BEFORE we moved in.....

windows....  love windows......

and a view of outside is also nice.....

Not sure about the move but know that the area we will have to work in will be bigger and nicer.....

still not sold on the move.....

Norm's Socks....

Alas, the exhaustion has set in and the knitting has slowed down........

However, I have made some progress on the socks.

I am loving the fair isle and find that it soothes the tummy almost as much as these lil things.....

A View of my Life from my Daughter's POV

I want to remain steadfast in my praise over every second of nausea, fatigue and cramping this pregnancy is bringing.

However, tonight I had to chuckle and then feel instant guilt over my current condition.  It is a known fact that I turn into a pumpkin after 5PM.  I won't be able to tolerate anything to eat and I can barely keep my eyes open.

Usually, when I get home from work, Rowan and I sit down and do homework.  We have moved this exercise to my bed where I am horizontal for the remainder of the evening (or at least a few hours until the dinner smell has vacated the house).

Tonight my baby girl kept asking me the same math problem over and over.  It was a paragraph word problem.  I would doze off and she would wake me up and ask me the answer.  I would ask her to repeat the question.  My hubby said this went on for about five rounds.  Finally, she laid her head on my lap and read the question then said, to my belly, "I know that you need alot of mommy right now but could you please ask her the answer to that question?"  Norm said he stiffled laughter at my baby girl's actions.

She then snapped this picture - and left it on my phone.

I feel like such a slacker......

But I am still Praising God!!!!

V-Day Gifts

Feeling a little more alive, I have been knitting v-day gifts and items to sell on B-Inspired.  Again, they are sold before they are uploaded.

Rowan received a special V Day hat

Tbis is a slouch hat that was in plan knit with smaller yarn.  I used a thicker yarn, added seed stitch and ta - da.....

Ro-Bo's slouch vday hat

And a friend ordered these special wrist warmers that are oh so soft and made out of malabrigo.

This is an original design with bobbles that make them extra kewl......

I might not get them off Rowan

Meanwhile I FINALLY finished a hat someone ordered over a year ago (yes I said a year ago and there is no excuse).

A slouch hat that I made up as I knitted, frogged, knitted, frogged and knitted multiple times.  I hope she likes it.  It looks great on Rowan and now she wants me to make her one.

A Birthday to remember!

Today my baby girl turned 10 YEARS OLD!!!!

And not only did she turn 10 - Chicago had it's first snow day in over 15 years, which of course, was in honor of her Birthday!

This is a picture, not to be replicated any time soon, of the girls standing in the middle of Halsted at high noon - with NO traffic!

So what a better way to celebrate a Snow Day AND a Birthday?????

SLEDDING!!!!!!

I turned my pager off as they went sledding cause, while I want them to have fun, I just can't think about all the consequences of having fun....
